My daughter is a chronic ear infection child.. GOD help me. I went threw the same thing when her doctor would just say hey give her some tylenol blah blah blah. After awhile, I got fed up an as much as I hate doing this I threw a fit. If there is a infection they need to give them antibodics. If it doesn't get better I would go back an have them seen again. As far as what you can do at home, just do the tylenol, ear drops are good, an try an warm compress. I suggest a rice sock. Put some rice in a sock, knot it off, put in the microwave to heat up. Timing depends for a child I would say no more than 1 min.
